Short description of project
The purpose of the project COST 257 is to improve the design of broadband multiservice switching systems and network architecture by determining optimal traffic control and resource allocation procedures and by evaluating alternative solutions. The project aims to identify potential impacts of different possible implementations of the new telecommunications services on network architecture and operation. To achieve this objective the project will provide solutions to network design and performance evaluation problems in the form of mathematical models, computer tools or optimization algorithms. 
Short description of the task performed by Croatian partner
The tasks performed by Croatian partner are: wireless broadband multimedia communication; mobile wireless multimedia toward third generation mobile communication.
