Short description of project |
The project is based on volunteering activities in which students of the Faculty of Organization and Informatics help primary school children learn English. All volunteers receive training on psychological and didactic topics and communication skills development. In addition, all volunteers are acquainted with the Law on Volunteering and the Code of Ethics for Volunteers. Before starting as volunteers, all candidates have to sign a volunteer agreement. Volunteers are placed in primary schools, where they attempt to improve the children’s motivation for learning English. Evaluation is performed for the conducted activities. The project is run simultaneously in Croatia and the United Kingdom, thus enabling for project results to be compared and examples of good practice to be exchanged. |
